High School

Otherwise known as secondary school, senior school or secondary college is an education platform that provides children or adolescents with a majority, or all of their education, at a secondary level. High school will generally follow primary or middle school and could lead on to higher education such as Bachelors Degrees or vocational training. High schools across Canada vary in proposed study areas. Some high schools are academic focused on teaching the correct tools to attend college or university. Others teach trades such as carpentry, auto repair or plumbing.

High school is reserved for children from grades eight or nine, through to grade twelve. Schools will have teachers that will specifically teach a certain topic of expertise through experience and learning. In the latter stages of high school education students can expect to prepare for gaining employment or gaining the grades required for post secondary education.
