Founded in 1985 Winnipeg Technical College (WTC) is an applied skills training insititute for secondary and post-secondary students. WTC prepares students for careers in Information and Business Technology, Health Care and Human Services, and Skilled Trades. Across its three campuses and a number of satalite locations, WTC offers a total of 26 courses, providing students with many options for technical training programs at the college level.

Students may choose from a variety of certificate programs and diploma programs, and even an international student program offering exclusive courses for these students. Together these schools are devoted to working on program advancement so that students will get a top quality education in a number of selected areas of study. These diploma programs include Network Security Diploma, Restaurant & Food Services and the Entrepreneurship Diploma Program.
WTC has well established International Student Programs in wide varitey of diciplines, some of which include Mechanic/Millwright, Culinary Arts & Design, Medical Administrative Assistant and Network Security Diploma to name of few.

Students will enjoy the multicultural city of Winnipeg, with the breath taking landscape of the escarpments and lakes, to the spirited arts community. In the city, students have access to many recreational activities such as the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the Manitoba Therater Centre, shopping malls, resutrants, the Winnipeg Art Gallery and year round sports games.
Community involvement is a great way for students to take the classroom into their community. Volunteer opportunities have included community relation events for WTC, Habitat for Humainey, Childern’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba just to name a few.
Annual provincial and national comptetitiions give WTC students a chance to show thieir skills before diving into a career. WTC took home an impressive 28 medals in the 2013 Skills Canada National Competition. These opportuinities are a great way for students to meet with industry leaders across the country.
