About the University of British Columbia
Commonly referred to as UBC across Canada, the University of British Columbia was established more than 100 years ago in 1908. Campus Life at UBC
There are two campuses that make up the University of British Columbia: Vancouver Campus and Okanagan Campus. You can also experience big city life in Vancouver and are only a short distance from Whistler, Granville Island, beaches, Chinatown and Vancouver’s arts community.
On campus, there are more than 300 student clubs and associations across both campuses, world class research facilities, modern student residences, and recreation facilities.
Known for its tradition of sporting excellence, the school has produced more than 200 Olympians, winning 65 medals, and has won national championships in multiple sports, especially swimming.
