Located in Langley, British Columbia and established in 1962, Trinity Western University (TWU) overs more than 40 undergraduate programs and over 15 graduate-level programs. TWU is Canada’s largest independent Christian liberal arts institution.
TWU’s six core values demonstrate the University’s commitment to faith-based learning:
TWU has received seven consecutive A+ grades by Quality of Teaching and Learning.
TWU offers students many opportunities to get involved in clubs covering interests including athletics, arts, recreation, leadership, and ministry. Student groups host events such as pancake breakfasts, theatre productions, exhibitions, and orientation programs. TWU’s active social atmosphere ensures that students are given many chances to participate in an active, lively culture while deepening their Christian understanding and contributing their own unique experiences to TWU’s campus culture.
Trinity Western publishes three student publications, including one of the most decorated student newspapers in North America, as well as an annual literary journal and an annual yearbook.
TWU has three extension campuses: the Laurentian Leadership Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, the Bellingham Campus in Washington, USA, and the coming Richmond Campus in Richmond, British Columbia. TWU’s roots extend beyond Langley, British Columbia, but the University remains a community-focused institution. TWU received an A+ rating from MacLean’s magazine in 2011 for its sense of community on campus.
Why Study at Trinity Western University?
International Student Programs help the international student population at TWU by introducing and orienting new students to the TWU community through providing ongoing support throughout the transition into Canadian life.
TWU aims to change lives through its whole-person, Christ-centred approach to education. As an arm of the Church, Trinity Western University’s mission is to develop godly Christian leaders by creating a positive, goal-oriented academic environment and growing disciples of Christ who serve God in the various marketplaces of life.
