Established in 1933, then known as the Banff School of Drama, the Banff Centre is one of the largest art based institutions in Canada and around the world. Also formerly known as the Banff Centre for Continuing Education and getting its start by offering only one drama course, the school has grown into a leaders in arts programs, specifically in the area of fine arts and performing arts, as well as its leadership training program.
Located in the city of Banff, Alberta, the school is part of the provinces education system and is a member of the Alberta Rural Development Network. Student Life at the Banff Centre

Another unique component to the Banff Centre is its leadership development program, an innovative program that helps to develop future leaders that can thrive in the new economy. With an emphasis on creativity and a curriculum that is inspired by the arts, students are taught how to be inventive, create unique ideas, and delivery results that companies are looking for in up and coming leaders.
The leadership program is broken down into a number of leadership topics such as strategic leading, building personal leadership, leading by design, leading teams, leading through challenges, and indigenous leadership.
