About Northern Alberta Institute of Technology
Established in 1962, Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, commonly referred to as NAIT is a polytechnic post-secondary institution that is located in Edmonton Alberta. The school provides students with a number of academic options including technical training and applied research. The goal of the school is to help provide meet their demand for technical trained professionals in a variety of industries.
Divided into 8 schools and faculties NAIT offers more than 200 programs at various degree levels. From certification programs to diplomas, degrees, and its specialization, applied degrees, students have the option to pursue education that can lead to many different technical careers.
NAIT is also an attractive option for students because it has one of the largest apprenticeship program in the country and has the ability to help train well over 15, 000 new apprentices each year, offering more than ample opportunity for practical experience and education.

NAIT is comprised of three campuses, all of which are in Edmonton – Main campus, Souch Campus, and Patricia campus. The school also has faculties in Calgary and St. Albert that offer a variety of corporate training programs to students and professionals.
While the school is technically focused, it still offers students with small class sizes that provide the best learning environment possible. The average class size is about 20 students, allowing for ample personalized attention.
