Lethbridge College

Lethbridge College was first established in 1957 as the first public community college in Canada. Today the school serves more than 4,000 students across its campuses in Lethbridge, Claresholm, Vulcan County and the Crowsnest Pass.

Lethbridge offers an engaging environment where students learn by doing, both in the classroom and through hands-on industry experience. With the accredited programs and high-quality content offered at Lethbridge, employers trust the education and skills of the schools graduates. Students can choose from a range of applied degrees, apprenticeship programs, and more than 50 quality career-training programs. There are also a multitude of classroom-based and online credit classes open to all.  A number of bachelor’s degrees which are available in partnership with  the University of Alberta, Athabasca University, University of Calgary and University of Lethbridge.

The college houses the impressive and globally recognized Hubbard Wildlife Collection of taxidermy. The school has undertaken some intense renovations over the recent years and offers a modern apartment-style residence as well as a modern fitness facility, the Physical Education Centre, which offers a range of quality equipment, courts and more. There is also a full day care centre on campus for staff and students.

The Lethbridge College Kodiaks offer athletic opportunities in basketball, soccer, and volleyball as well as cross-country, running, and golf. The cross country team has brought home a number of national titles. The women’s basketball team has also left a mark in the basketball community.
