Langara College was established in 1994 and is located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Langara College is Canada’s premier university transfer institution. The College provides a number of opportunities to get involved through intramural sports, clubs, and organizations. Intramural sports include basketball, indoor soccer, volleyball, and badminton. In addition, clubs offer students the chance to engage socially with fellow students, with clubs covering interests such as academics, culture, community issues, athletics, art, games, and women’s issues.
Langara College recognizes that there is more to the post-secondary experience than just academic pursuit. The Langara PLUS program, designed specifically for international students, aims to improve social and interpersonal skills, develop intercultural awareness, improve physical fitness, and maximize opportunities for success. The program gives students a chance to participate in a variety of workshops and events in order to accumulate points towards each individual’s Status of Achievement.
