Lakeland College

As Canada’s only inter-provincial college, Lakeland College provides post-secondary education to both Alberta and Saskatchewan communities. Lakeland is located in Alberta and serves roughly 7,500 students across its two campuses in Vermillion and Lloydminster. The college is a member of the Alberta Rural Development Network and is associated with the Association of Canadian Community Colleges, Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association, Alberta Association of Colleges & Technical Institutes, and the Canadian Bureau for International Education.

Lakeland College is home to a rare farm fully managed by students; only five other programs exist like this in Canada. This student run farm comprises both livestock and crops; both programs independently run from one another and require the use of specific skill sets and equipment.

The interior design technology program has earned some rewarding recognition over the years, standing as the only Canadian program of its kind to be endorsed by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Students of this program have brought home copious awards from national and international contests and continue to pave the way in the industry.

Lakeland is also one of three institutes in Canada to offer an Appraisals and Assessment program.  There is an excellent international program at Lakeland, bringing in students from Lebanon, Qatar, Hong Kong, Australia, South Africa, India and the Netherlands.
