The Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) is a post-secondary leader in justice and public safety education. Located in New Westminster, British Columbia, JIBC has been successfully training individuals for service in justice, public safety and social fields since 1978. Programs at JIBC are diverse and in-depth, leading to graduate certificates, bachelor’s degrees, diplomas and certificates.
With its main campus in New Westminster, the institute serves a number of communities through its locations in Vancouver, Victoria, Okanagan, Chilliwack and Maple Ridge. On campus there is a library, cafeteria, gymnasium, a fitness room and an indoor firearms range. Students have a 200-seat theatre and an excellent media centre at their disposal. New Westminster campus is home to the Public Safety Simulation Building – a custom-designed building by Dr. Donald B Rix, which offers high-quality real-life simulation training.
