College of New Caledonia

Since 1969, College of New Caledonia (CNC) has been serving the residence in northern British Columbia. With its main location in Prince George. The college offers more than 50 programs in a variety of disciplines including health sciences, trades and technologies, social services, business and university studies. CNC has a total of six campuses, in Prince George, Burns Lake, Fort ST. James, Mackenzie, Quesnel and Vanderhoof, and reaches about 155,000 people regionally.
Courses and programs at CNC have a hands-on emphasis, with a maximum of 37 students per class. This means class sizes are small so students get the individual attention they need. Learning hands-on provides students with the practical experience and real work-scenarios, so that students can perfect and master the skills they acquire in their course or program.

International students are more than welcomed at CNC. Along with the highly trained instructors, the school has a variety of services available to support foreign students with their studies and to ensure their language skills are improving. The college staff and students all play an important role in helping international students adjust to the Canadian culture.
For those students who want to complete their program while gaining international experiencing, the college offers study abroad options in Costa Rica, China, Korea, Italy as well as communities in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. These experiences help to broaden students experience and contribute to their career pursuits.

CNC offers top-quality trades training through its experienced instructors, cutting-edge facilities and precision equipment. In 2011 CNC took underwent a vast expansion project, building two new trades and technology centres at its Prince George and Quesnel campuses.

At CNC, Red Seal trades training is available in welding, machinist, millwright, plumbing, heavy duty mechanics, auto-body, power engineering, professional cook, the list goes on. The school is also well known for its health sciences programs, providing additional training for professionals in the field, such as medical radiography technicians, nurses and dental hygienists.

Active and engaged students typically have a positive learning experience, and CNC strives to make the campus life memorable. Students will enjoy participating in student clubs, campus activities, recreational activities, organizations, as well as intercollegiate and intramural sports.  Prince George campus offers an excellent recreation facility with a weight room, squash courts, fitness and yoga classes and more.

Living in the north is an amazing experience, with outdoor activates and a spectacular wilderness. There are a variety of things to keep students busy, from shopping malls, restaurants and theaters to exploring the Rocky Mountains with just a four-hour car ride away.
