NBCC is a community college serving Francophone and Acadian communities throughout several locations in New Brunswick. In total, NBCC has five campuses including Bathurst, Campbellton, Dieppe, Edmundston, and the Acadian Peninsula. Since 2006, NBCC has been providing high quality education and market driven skills training in French, with some programs offered in English as selective campuses.
The exceptional training at NBCC is a result of a Government of New Brunswick initiative launched in 2006, to define the future direction of education in the province. As a result, today NBCC is recognized for its innovative instruction in over 90 programs at its five campuses.
The Bathurst Campus is located in the northeastern side of New Brunswick and offers about thirty of the institutes training programs to about 900 students. This campus is home to the Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Metals, as well as the Centre of Excellence in Workplace Essential Skills.

Over the course of the next few years eastern Canada will see a number of major economic development projects, some including the revival of shipbuilding and the construction of a hydroelectric plant. Such projects give graduates of NBCC the opportunity for job placements and future employment.
