Capilano University

Located in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Capilano University is primarily an undergraduate institute with a concentrated emphasis on teaching as opposed to research. Founded in 1968, the schools main campus is in North Vancouver and offers majority of the courses. This campus is built on the natural beauty of the environment, with lush forests and stunning mountains surrounding the area. The university has two additional regional campuses located in Squamish and Sechelt.

Students come to Capilano for both its beauty and quality education. The school serves about 7,500 students, with no more than 35 students per class. This allows instructors to work with each individuals needs and offer quality instruction.

Campus Life

The school boasts an impressive performing arts theater where students can enjoy a live performance right on campus. The Capilano Cinephiles is a beautiful and complete cinema theatre offering students with a variety of films to enjoy year round.  
There is opportunity for recreational activities, outdoor events, clubs and campus committees. For those athletic types, there are intramural teams as well as competitive athletic teams with the Capilano Blues –the school’s varsity team.

Off campus there are lots of things to see and do, like enjoy the beautiful scenery with a mountain hike, kayaking, camping, or relax in a park. There are galleries, creative restaurants, coffee shops, unique shopping, and all sorts of evening entertainment.
